Sam Page

Sam Page is an unsigned singer/songwriter whose guitar-driven pop/rock combines upbeat grooves and powerful rockers. There are no computer-generated sounds in his music – just a raucous (albeit melodic) mix of real guitars, bass, percussion and vocals. After 20 gigs with his band in southern California in 2011, Sam released two self-produced EPs. Reviewers compare his music to Matthew Sweet (3x), Foo Fighters (2x), Beach Boys, Earwig, Eels, Sam Roberts, and Weezer. It also resonates with fans of Jack White, Blur, Modest Mouse, and CAKE.

Reviews:
"Sam's music just jumps out at you from the first chord and stays in your head for days for all of the right reasons ... [it] is definitely a refreshing sound created by nothing more than good old fashioned instruments and easy-going harmonies."
          -- Music That's Nu2Me (May 12, 2012)

"Pleasant surprises abound in the dirtiness of the guitar riffage and the stellar range of Page’s vocals. There’s a sense of freedom and joy in the songwriting here, someone truly at ease with themselves and not taking things too seriously."
          -- Independent Music Promotions (May 11, 2012)

"This came out of nowhere. Think Donovan writing the verse and Dave Grohl and Matthew Sweet writing the chorus. Perfectly produced, and Sam plays the hell out [of] this. Indie stuff doesn't get better than this. This is Top 10 of the year material."

"Going on a Rampage has been getting awesome reviews, and I am happy to give it yet another one ... I was immediately hooked ... [it] is a treat for any indie pop fans who love the DIY approach to music."

          -- Andrea Janov, CC2K (May 5, 2012)

"Going on a Rampage is very well-done. All [three] of these pop-rock songs are recorded with great energy. The catchy melodies will be the first thing you notice (just try to keep your head still when you listen to these tunes), but the more you listen, the more you realize the layers of sound Page puts into his music. This EP does the job an EP is meant to do: namely, it gives you a taste and leaves you wanting more."
